When setting up your market stall please enter no earlier than 8:00am on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday. In all cases please aim to have finished setup and be ready to trade by 9:00am on both Saturday and Sunday.
Our regular market trading takes place as follows;
We provide high quality modular stall tables of dimensions 6’x 2’6”.
One standard ‘market stall’ consists of 2 stall tables arranged adjacently to create an area of 6’x 5’. In addition you may provide one table or one rail of your own to complement the stall.
Need more space?
No problem! 1 ½ stalls consists of 3 tables. You may also provide one table or one rail of your own to complement the stall.
Alternatively going for our largest offering of 2 stalls will give you 4 tables, that’s an area of 12’x 5′. You may also provide two tables of your own, or one table and one rail.
Not much to sell?
For those traders with only a small number of items to sell, you may find that a half stall is sufficient. This consists of one 6’x2’6″ table, but please note you will not be able to add your own table or rail to this stall.

If your stall is booked and you need to cancel, the latest cancellation time is 4pm Thursday.
Any cancellation received after Thursday will incur a £10 adminstration fee.

Parking Charges
As of week commencing 23rd January 2017, parking will be chargeable on the west side of the station.
The charges have been implemented by Station Developments Limited as part of the company’s commitment to ensure that the condition of the grade 2* listed building is maintained following the recent extensive refurbishment.
Charges have been kept to a minimum and are not excessive when compared to street parking charges around Tynemouth.
Parking charges will be as follows:
Up to 1 hour – FREE
Up to 2 hours – 40p
Up to 3 hours – 80p
Up to 4 hours – £1.20
Up to 24 hours – £1.50
Parking tariffs apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays.
Familiarise yourself with social distance requirements.
Remember to wash/sanitise your hands regularly do not touch your face.
Source personal protection equipment such as gloves, masks, sanitiser.
Wear a mask if appropriate for you. Masks are not compulsory on the open air market but must be worn within the toilet area or indoor shops within the Station.
Carry out a risk assessment of your stall. Consider things such as a clear area to take card payments and hand over stock.
Wipeable table coverings (bring your own hand sanitiser and wipes to clean and necessary stock.
There will be adequate space for buyers to view your stock however you need to control the amount of people at your stall. Market staff will not be able to help with this.
You must adhere to the one metre plus social distancing regulations at all times.
You should be advising buyers not to touch items unless they wish to buy. (You may wish to do your own signs to advise customers of this.
We do ask that you adhere to the rules and regulations set out below. These are strictly enforced in the interest of fairness and safety to both your fellow traders and members of the public.
Only items described on the booking form or by telephone can be sold from your stall. In the case of multiple products the management reserve the right to have certain products removed from your display.
All goods must be of saleable quality, legal and fit for purpose.
No counterfeit, stolen or goods prohibited under law are to be displayed or sold.
Cancellations must be made via telephone booking line on 07907 468441 Tuesday – Thursday 11.00am – 4-00pm Latest cancellation time is 4-00pm on Thursday prior to the trading weekend. Failure to do so will result in a £10.00 admin fee charged for any future bookings.
Stall space can not be sub-let.
All licences if applicable including food hygiene and health and safety must be current and available for viewing.
All traders must have their own public liability in place by 1st July 2012 this must be available for viewing at any time.
Your display area should be kept neat and tidy at all times.
Nailing or fixing to the floors / walls is prohibited.
Walkways and areas around stalls must be kept clear so as not to cause hazard or hindrance to fellow traders and members of the public.
After dismantling your display, please ensure the area is left clean and all rubbish is removed. You are responsible for clearing all rubbish from your stall. Any rubbish left behind will be recorded by the market staff, and a fee will be charged for removal of your rubbish.
Stalls must not be dismantled before close of market at 3.30pm.
No sitting on tables (any tables damaged will be charged at full cost)
The management reserves the right to alter the position of all stalls if it should prove necessary to accommodate any unforeseen situation at a minutes notice.
Please be aware the entire station is a designated no smoking area.
When using your own personal social media accounts, market traders must never portray themselves as part of the official “Tynemouth Markets” brand. We would greatly appreciate you forwarding us any enquiries you receive regarding stall availability or pricing to our “Tynemouth Markets official Facebook page” where we will deal with the enquiry ourselves. Please do not attempt to advise or arrange any aspect of trade in relation to the business of Tynemouth Markets.
